Looking back to the whole year and learn to face next year

Looking back to the whole year and learn to face next year

First time writing a year-in-review as a form of reflection and contemplation. Usually, I just think about it, but since I like to write blogs, it seems like it's fun to write about publicly.

🧡 I personally enjoy reading other people's year-in-review posts, soo let's, here’s my 2021-in-review πŸ‘‡πŸ»

As the type of person who has never made a specific year plan, it turns out that reviewing what has happened in the past year is really fun. It helps to see where and if we can improve and focus on next year

‍

1. Wins - Move to πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ company

Dreams come true. After passing 10 times the interview stage for 3 months, then finally got an offer. The 10 stages of this interview are really fun if they are written as a blog, who knows it can become insight, right?

‍

2. Wins - Last project with tiket

Tbh, really happy with the last 2 projects on the ticket under the command of @SumitroYoel. Crazy, in -+ 8 months, I can learn a lot from this project. And what made me accepted at my current role, yes, those 2 projects.

‍

3. Wins - Speak English often

Finally, I am confident in speaking English because I am in a hurry for an interview. Holding weekly English day at home with my wife to continue training and speed up with a course too. To those who have the opportunity, don't study English later, no one knows when the opportunity will come

‍

4. Wins - Build this personal blog ✨

After going back and forth, I finally have my own blog. Rewrite what I have learned and it turns out that it can also become insights for other people. It's even more fun because in the middle you get a partner @sipikipik who helps me made the illustration covers

‍

5. Wins - Intermittent fasting

After getting married and having children, the weight increased by 10 kg+ haha. But now I'm going back to normal after doing intermittent fasting + working out.

‍

6. Lose - Let go of the control of my personal business

Although technically I'm still the owner and shareholder. This one is upset and sad for more than a month, every time I enter the studio at home, I always imagine and feel sad again. But what can I do, I have to delegate because I have to move to πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

‍

7. Lose - Still feel I don't get the trust from my new team yet

Even though 7 months have passed, I still don't feel fit in the office squad. There are still many adaptations to how PM works here. And I still feel they don't trust me yet, I feel it. So it's also my homework for the beginning of 2022. But I'm happy with the conditions in the design team πŸ₯°

‍

8. Lose - Reading book

It's still inconsistent, from the target that I wanted to achieve, it's still 40%, not even half of the goal.

‍

9. New Learn - Japanese πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

It's confusing but quite happy with the progress, even though it's still below expectations. Reading is fluent, sentence patterns are not bad too, I've started ζ—₯本θͺž occasionally to chat in small forums and slack chat. But still struggling with vocabulary & verbs

‍

10. New Learn - Investing

This is also a new learn this year because my personal business is still running, so I accepted investor proposals which automatically make me studied about agreements, make the legal company, etc. Also, this year is my first time being an investor in a coffee shop business in Bandung with friends.

Let's hope 2022 will be better for all of us! End of the thread, thank you for reading!
